JunThe beginning of our summer

It’s been a crazy whirlwind since easter came around. I’m already exhausted. But i knew it would be this way for a while. So here’s just a little recap of what’s been going on in our world. Alex’s birthday came and went so fast! I had planned this huge party for him and that day when i was running around getting everything together he called me to let me know that he had to work late! GRRRR! So i had to cancel the party. i was so pissed. well about 7 he calls me to tell me that he’s on his way home! DOUBLE GRRRR! I called our CLOSEST friends and told them to haul butt to our house. we had a good amount of people show up. My brothers and their girlfriends were here, our friends and his parents all came to celebrate. I pulled out the food and did the best we could considering i didn’t make ALL of it. We ate brisket sandwiches (instead of the brisket, rice and beans) and sat around and watched the fight. Paquiao won *of course*.
Then we spent the rest of the month getting ready for Lily’s birthday. Our baby girl turned 1!! I can’t believe she’s getting so big so fast! *these aren’t all the pics but you get the idea*

also, another gift daddy got mommy….
A 2011 BLACK GRANITE CHEVY TRAVERSE LT!!!! I haven’t taken a pic of it yet, my phone is on the frits, but as soon as I do, i’ll post the pic!
So far our summer is off to a great start and we’ve got lots and lots more to come! this weekend is our “family reunion”. should be interesting considering my family hasn’t hardly spoken to anyone in YEARS. but that’s another blog for another time!
Till next time…xoxo

MaySuper Michael and His Adventures

I feel like “SuperMom” sometimes, the only thing i’m lacking is the ability to stretch my arms to ridiculous lengths, or to turn invisible, or move faster than the speed of light! That would be awesome! Michael, however, is convinced he can do all of these things! lol! Right now he’s on this superhero kick that just makes me giggle, but i can never laugh too loud because then he gets mad that i’m laughing at him!
See, first off, Michael and Lily are only allowed to watch certain tv stations like Disney Junior (use to be playhouse disney) or Nick Junior. I HATE HATE HATE junk cartoons that don’t teach them anything and kill their brain cells!
As far as movies go, they are allowed to watch anything that will stretch their imaginations. The first movie Michael watched that really kick started all of this was Astro Boy! After that, he is convinced that he can fly! We all joke that we pray he doesn’t learn how to get to the top of the house! lol!
Just this past weekend, my parents were out at the store and came across an old favorite of my brothers. THE POWER RANGERS! lol! Isaac use to tell me that he was the White Ranger and Julian use to tell me that he was the Blue Ranger! Watching it now i can’t help but laugh at how cheesy it is! But now, not only does Michael think he can fly, now he believes that he can beat up the “Nasty purple monsters” lol!

I’m pretty sure we’ll be having one of our very own pictures of Michael in his superhero cape…but then again, the superheros now and days are too cool for that! lol!

MayOur fun-filled Weekend

Saturday was Alex’s birthday! My love is now 25 years young! I had planned this huge surprise birthday party, but he called me IN THE MIDDLE of getting everything together to tell me that he had to work SUPER later…like 11-12 that night! I was so furious because i had to call everyone and tell them and basically had to cancel the party. Then about 7:30 he called me and said he was on his way home! Grrr!!! So i got as much as I could together and called a few people. His family came over, my brothers and a few close friends. We watched the fight (disappointed in Mosely) and ate and just really enjoyed ourselves. Then, yesterday was Mother’s day. We slept in and then got up and went to have breakfast with Alex’s parents. Then we went over to my parents for a little while. After visiting out mommies, we headed over to the mall and alex took me on a shopping spree! It was so much fun! I didn’t just buy me things, i bought house decor, the kids got shoes and whole bunch of other things! Then we were gonna go out to eat, but everything was so full, and we’re not fans of big crowds, and alex was not gonna have me cook, so we came home and ordered some pizza. I put up all my decorations and put the new sheets on my bed and then got in my bed with my babies and played and watched tv. The kids ended up falling asleep early, so we called it an early night as well! It started out a little rough, but turned out to be a great weekend! Thank you Jesus, for this life and giving my Love another year of life! xoxo

MayIs it just me??

Or has anyone else been running into and/or meeting people that just come across as ignorant?! It seems that i am always coming across people that can’t WAIT to go and tell everyone how much they spend or show off what they bought, no sense of humilty or modesty. Some people tolerate it, others *like myself* are just annoyed at it. I try to just stay away from these type of people but it seems that everytime i turn around, there’s another one. I, too, like many of these women that i come across, am a stay at home mommy. So that mean my wonderful husband goes out everyday and busts his ass to make money to support me and his two children, but you do not see me flaunting it or spreading it all over the internet. I recently came across they one *girl* (not woman, because she acts like she’s 16) who just can’t seem to keep her trap shut and any chance she gets she talks about how much money she spends and how she is lazy. On that same note, everyone i’ve asked is annoyed with her and her ways. It makes me pity these people. I’ve already kicked out someone of my home who is like this…Sometimes i can’t help but wonder why they feel the need to say things like this? is it because they want to impress people, they need to feel like they belong, insecurity? the part out of all of it that makes me laugh is that they claim that i am jealous!! LMAO! not even when my wonderful husband was making pennies compared to what these people were making was i jealous. and now that he’s making MORE than them, i’m still not…because there is nothing to be jealous of, the only thing i feel is pity. Pity that these women are slaves to their husbands. while my husband tells me every day to relax, rest, enjoy our children, that is why he works, to give me the chance to raise them! who wouldn’t want that. So to all those that feel the need to “brag” about what they spend and buy or feel the need to say that people are jealous of you, i say to them…GET OVER YOURSELF! lol! no one is impressed just annoyed with how stupid you make yourself seem…or maybe you are that stupid, which only adds more pity from me…to you!

MayIn the headlines when i woke up this morning…
“JUSTICE HAS BEEN DONE” IS WHAT IS ALL OVER THE TV, NEWS, INTERNET AND ANY OTHER DEVICE YOU CAN RECEIVE INFO ON! OSAMA BIN LADEN WAS KILLED. I AM SITTING HERE READING THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION FROM MSNBC.COM…

Osama bin Laden, the mastermind behind the Sept. 11, 2001, terror attacks that killed thousands of Americans, was slain in his luxury hideout in Pakistan early Monday in a firefight with U.S. forces, ending a manhunt that spanned a frustrating decade.
Justice has been done,” President Barack Obama declared as crowds formed outside the White House to celebrate. Many sang “The Star-Spangled Banner” and “We Are the Champions,” NBC News reported.
Hundreds more waved American flags at ground zero in New York
— where the twin towers that once stood as symbols of American economic power were brought down by bin Laden’s hijackers 10 years ago.
“This momentous achievement marks a victory for America, for people who seek peace around the world, and for all those who lost loved ones on September 11, 2001,” the former president said.
“The fight against terror goes on, but tonight America has sent an unmistakable message: No matter how long it takes, justice will be done.”
Obama echoed his predecessor, declaring that “the death of bin Laden marks the most significant achievement to date in our nation’s struggle to defeat al-Qaida.”
But he stressed that the effort against the organization continues. Al-Qaida remains in existence as an organization, presumably under the leadership of Ayman al-Zawahiri, 59, an Egyptian physician who is widely believed to have been bin Laden’s No. 2.

AS CRAZY AS IT MAY SOUND, I’M NOT EXCITED BY THIS INFORMATION. I’M HAPPY FOR ALL THOSE THAT WANTED JUSTICE AND GOT IT. A SENSE OF CLOSURE IS WHAT I THINK THEY WERE LOOKING FOR AND THEY RECEIVED IT. BUT I CAN’T BRING MYSELF TO CELEBRATE DEATH. I WORRY NOW ABOUT WHAT WILL HAPPEN AND WHAT KIND OF RETALIATION WILL BE BROUGHT TO THE U.S. JUST A SCARY TIME TO ME. ALL I CAN DO IS PRAY FOR PEACE. I AM GLAD THAT NO AMERICANS WERE HURT IN ANY OF THIS…GOD BLESS OUR TROOPS. NOW ALL WE CAN DO IS WAIT TO SEE WHAT HAPPENS NEXT…GOD BE WITH US!

AprThe Royal Wedding

This has been all over the tv, radio and internet. History in the making. At first i wasn’t excited. In fact i wasn’t excited at all the entire time. but now that “the big day” is tomorrow (our time) i’m actually getting excited. lol! even though it has nothing to do with me. So in our time it will air at 5 AM!! normally that would bother me but since i have to get up early to prepare alex’s lunch and bag for the day it doesn’t. i’m just going to get up at 4 to clean and get everything done so i can sit and watch this historic event. Eonline! even put out the itnerairy for tomorrow…it’s down to the minute! this is how it will go down:
8:15-9:45 a.m. Guests, of the general congregation variety, begin arriving at the North Door of Westminster Abbey

The groom is expected spend several minutes mingling with guests and relatives before retiring to the attached Chapel of St. Edmund, where he will spend roughly 20 minutes in quiet reflection with his best man Harry and members of the clergy.10:20 a.m. Members of the royal family arrive. At this time, Kate’s mom Carole Middleton and brother James Middleton leave the Goring Hotel.
10:25 a.m. The remaining members of the royal family leave Buckingham Palace for the Abbey.
10:27 a.m. Carole and James arrive at the Abbey.

10:51 a.m. Here comes the bride! Kate and her father Michael Middleton depart in a Rolls-Royce Phantom VI (from Prince Charles’ fleet) from Goring Hotel to the Abbey.
10:55 a.m. Pippa & Co. arrive at the Abbey.
11 a.m. Kate arrives
The service will be officiated by the Archbishop of Canterbury, Rowan Williams, while the Bishop of London, Right Rev. Richard Chartres (long established as Will’s favorite cleric, who has been counseling the Prince and Kate, and confirmed the bride-to-be into the Church of England last month), will give the address. The ceremony itself will feature many musical performances, and will be led by the Dean of Westminster. Only one ring swap will occur—William has chosen not to wear a wedding band.
12:05 p.m. The service ends. But before it does, a fanfare of trumpets will ring out to mark the exact moment they tie the knot
12:15 p.m. Bells will herald the newlyweds’ departure, via (weather permitting) a 1902 State Landau Coach (the same open carrier ridden by Prince Charles and Diana) to Buckingham Palace. If it rains, they’ll opt for the enclosed Glass Coach. The carriage procession, which will include an escort by the Household Cavalry, will be followed by the Queen’s procession, and the entire group will make its way back to Buckingham Palace.
12:30 p.m. The duo arrives at Buckingham Palace, followed by their guests.1:25 p.m. Kiss me, Kate! The fairy tale moment has arrived. The newlyweds will emerge together on the balcony at Buckingham Palace, where they will wave for the assembled masses, smile and engage in their first public kiss as husband and wife for the no doubt braying crowd. In addition to marking their union with a royal song, they will be joined on the balcony by the queen and members of their families
1:30 p.m. A flyover courtesy of the Royal Air Force and Battle of Britain Memorial Flight will mark the occasion.
1:40 p.m. The Queen-hosted reception begins at the palace, as 600 guests sip champagne and devour canapés at the buffet-style brunch service. The two cakes—one fruit, one biscuit-based—will also be cut and served, and this is when Harry’s best man speech is due to be delivered.
3:30 p.m. William and Kate depart the Palace and are driven through the Mall to St. James Palace, where they will enjoy a “period of reflection” to take in the morning’s momentous events.7:00 p.m. The couple, in what could be their final public appearance of the day, make their way back to Buckingham Palace for a final reception to be hosted by Prince Charles for 300 select members of their family and friends, which will not, it’s been announced, include the queen. A much more intimate affair, this gathering will feature dinner and dancing and is expected to last long into the night.
Gonna get up and make me some coffee, let the kiddos sleep and send my love off to work and then relax and watch this event! sounds like a good morning to me!!
**UPDATE**
Their wedding was BEAUTIFUL! Truly a fairytale! Kate Middleton is now Princess Catherine and both her and Prince William also received the titles of Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. Her dress was GORGEOUS. Hats were great…definitely a trend we should start here in the States! lol! They didn’t go on a honeymoon right away…we’re all waiting to see where they will go, it’s only been confirmed that it will be somewhere overseas.

AprEASTER WEEKEND
So this was Easter weekend. Alex surprised us Friday by getting home at 4:30. He has to go out of town for work everyday and it’s an hour drive, so he was really off my 3:30. He also didn’t have to work on Saturday like he’s been having too lately which was al so a treat! When he got home we just let him rest. The kids had a birthday party to go to, so we went. They had fun!
Then Saturday we woke up early (even though we were planning on sleeping in. The kids woke up early) and got dressed and went to visit Alex’s parents for a little while. Then we went to run a few errands and did some grocery shopping and then had dinner at Abuelo’s

After dinner we went home and just relaxed. Everyone ended up falling asleep early!
Then Sunday we woke up and went to Walmart to grab a couple of things (it was crazy packed) and then headed over to Alex’s parents again! His mom made lots of yummy food and we sat around and relaxed and just enjoyed our time there with the kids, while they got spoiled! This was our Little Diva’s first Easter!

Then after getting all messy and playing we left and on the way home we surprised the kids with a trip to the carnival! Lily didn’t care much. She had fallen asleep in the car and just wanted Mommy to hold her! But Michael had a blast! This was the first time our Prince rode the rides by himself!

Even Sandra got on a ride!!

All in all, it was a great weekend! Thank you God for giving me this wonderful life!

HAHA! i don’t even dress up when doing laundry…I just thought that was funny!
So with alex’s new job i have been washing his clothes and it has been a bitch! The first time i washed his clothes it left an ugly stain in my washer. So today we went to the laundrymat and used their heavy duty washers. Now i’m home and need to work on just getting the smell out. But the point of this blog is because being there at the laundrymat brought back so many memories. This was a time way before alex! We use to live in this really nice neighborhood. Well when my parents decided that they were going to build a house everything in our world got rocked. We sold the house (a sad sad day! My brothers and I all agree that one day we will own that house!) and moved in with our grandparents. All of our stuff went into storage. Well that arrangement with my grandparents only lasted a year…all chiefs no indians in my family. So my mom found a small duplex…and when i say small, i mean TINY! It was only for a couple of months because we were finishing the house already! I remember we NEVER ate at the house…i think i only stepped in the kitchen like twice! we ate out every night. we had no a/c our neighbors were alcoholics and the son (who was way older than me) was always hitting on me (thank God for my dad!) We lived right in front of an E-Z Mart and there was a huge fight and someone threw a bag of cheetos on the yard. My dad went to pick it up to throw it away so the yard wouldn’t look trashy and the cops ran over and stopped him and showed him needles that were in the bag! SCARY! But the one thing that i remember was every week my mom, brothers and myself would load up our van and go to the laundrymat. my mom never let us read “smut” magazines, but i was 13 going on 14 already so she let me. We would always go over the the 7-11 and get a slurpee, hot cheetos and some magazines. We would help my mom with the laundry and chill while we waited. Then we would go home and put everything up and then leave again because none of us liked being there…it was just a place to sleep! After the house was finished, we moved our stuff the new house, but before we could even stay a night there, my parents wisked us off a FABULOUS vacation to Cancun, Mexico. When we flew back to Dallas, my dad stopped a car dealership and bought himself a new truck! Then once we got back to Midland, we didn’t go back to our little duplex, we went to our new house! It was the best, most fun memory I have! It was so odd just sitting there with MY kids, dreaming that one day we have a great memory like that to share as well!

AprOUR EARLY EASTER!!
Sunday, April 17th, we spent an early Easter with my family because my parents aren’t going to be here for Easter weekend. My Tia Rita from Chihuahua, and cousin Sandra are here visiting us for a couple of weeks. My parents decided to surprise my aunt and take her to Las Vegas for the weekend. I’m so excited for them! So anyhoo, we decided to celebrate Easter with my family early. Sunday, morning, before heading over to my parents house, we made easter baskets for the kids. I had gone and gotten a couple of simple things for the kids.

Michael wanted to fill his own Easter eggs, so we let him, but he was a sneaky little one and would eat the candies instead of putting them in the eggs! lol!

After getting ready, we headed to my parents and the kids played and played and played! They love going to visit their grandparents! After running around outside they came in and found where I had put up their Easter baskets and tore them things up! Let’s just say they were on a sugar high for a while!

Since Lily is still too little to walk or even understand what Easter is about, Michael had an Easter egg hunt by himself. Next year, our diva will get to go on her first egg hunt!

After Michael collected all his eggs, it was time for the “adults” to go Easter egg hunting. This was fun because all my cousins (minus 2) were there! One thing you have to understand is that my cousins and brothers are huge, so it can get crazy!

Michael even got in on that action and recruited his Tio Julian, Tiffany and Sandra for help! lol!

After all the Easter egg hunting, everyone sat around and ate dessert, added up points and got prizes. Then we ate (again) and swam and just relaxed. It was a great time with all our loved ones around to enjoy!
